About Me

I was a Gooner, watching the club I love, Arsenal, on the brink of collapse. Our star striker and captain, Robin van Persie, left us and for all the teams, Manchester United! Just merely a season after both Nasri and Fabregas left us as well. How could he! He was supposed to be our guy and no one else was to have him. We nurtured him, kept faith with him, and just when we started to reep the profits, he jumps ship. Anger and rage grasped me and I took to twitter to let it all out. I created an account and starting bashing him. I had too much to keep in. Watching videos of Gooners burning their RvP shirt fueled me even more. But then the greatest thing came out of it. Here is where I was introduced to the Gooner family, the Gooner world, "Goonerverse". I started meeting many great gooners and goonerettes (S/O #AFCDebateTeam). I met many great supporters, all around nice people, funny guys, not so funny ones and the here and there nut jobs. True Arsenal supporters who stick together through good times and bad. It is all part of the Arsenal experience. We shared our joys, anger and disappointments together. Insults, temperament and much more would be aimed at one another a times but there is no such thing as the perfect family. Since then, we witnessed many Arsenal moments; #AFC-2-0-BM, #HenryReturn, #MindTheGap, #ArrivalOfOzil, #RamseyResurgence, #TopOfTheLeague and many other things. Our Gooner life has been going good so far and so there is life after RvP (hence the twitter handle).

We are finally coming to terms that he is no longer one of us. We have moved on as we have moved on before and we are no longer hurt by that once painful incident. RvP was what caused me to start on my journey but he is not what keeps me going now. It is my love for Arsenal and the passion I have for my team. The players who give it all for the club, the coach who has been giving it all for the club and the fans who will always be giving it all for the club.

Now, my blog. I love writing and I love Arsenal so I figured I would add the two together and have a great time as well. Anything about Arsenal that gets my creative juices running will be written about. I plan to talk about everything Arsenal and anything related to it. This is not a football website so stats and other numbers may not play a big role. My posts will reflect my opinion, mainly. From the name, you can tell this will be about my views on Arsenal. There will be the occasional relaxed topics and issues, for the sole purpose of making you guys smile. My views on transfers targets we are/will be linked with, players we will sign, injuries to players, matches fixtures, my opinion on scorelines, etc. Basically, what I feel and how I view the club we oh so love.

I hope you like my blog. Any comments and suggestions are welcomed. WELCOME TO IN THE EYES OF A GOONER.
